The Cost Of Travel In December
The holiday season at the end of December is a great time to travel. There are so many different events occurring along with the holidays in most parts of the world that it is easy to plan yourself the perfect vacation getaway this time of year. But let’s face it, sometimes it can be difficult to plan holiday trips in advance. For one reason or another you might still need to book your trip for the end of December, during December.
Unfortunately, a recent article from Travel + Leisure states that the cost of travel starts to increase after December 4 when the cost of airfare goes up as much as 5-17%. While this might seem like dismal news for anyone still hoping to book a trip, there are still ways for you to have an affordable vacation.
Travel + Leisure explains that booking trips in southern United States for late December could be up to 30% cheaper than other flights. You have the option to fly north as well and visit Canada for a decent price this time of year. But, no matter where you fly you still need to be careful which dates you select. December 20 reports as the most expensive day to travel while Christmas Day is the least. The article also mentions that it may not be too late to get a good price on airfare for your New Year’s Eve celebration. If you are still thinking about booking a flight to rein in the New Year somewhere else, book now! Prices will start raising again for those after the 26th of December.
So, although travel prices do increase in December, there are some locations and dates that you can book without breaking the bank. Check out the article now and then visit VIP Vacation Rentals today to find the perfect rental for your next vacation!
